Fun Nights

Come join us on September 19 and 26, 2010. They begin at 6:30 pm.

We host seven (7) dances between September and June (no dance in November, December, or April) with most offering alternating Mainstream and Plus tips as well as round dancing between tips (2+2). Our dances are normally held on the fourth Saturday night of each month from 8 - 10:30 PM. See our dance schedule for details and specials.

About Our Club Name

A well documented and interesting story tells of Wolf Rock, a local historical landmark from which we get our name.

On a cold Sunday in November of 1756, the Reverend Francis Worcester left Mason after the second service of the day to walk the seven miles back to his home in Hollis. It was about dark when he set out. About a mile from the meeting house, he was approached by a pack of wolves. He quickly climbed onto the rock to escape them. He is said to have spent the night on the rock, praying for his safety and singing hymns. In the morning, Capt. Thomas Tarbell, out riding along the road, discovered the minister on the rock, took him home, fed him breakfast, and then saw him on his way again.

Around 1930, the town had the name "Wolf Rock" engraved in the side of the rock in recognition of the local landmark.
